Praise & Prayer
requests:
- Pray
for new short termer, Holly Friesen's adjustment to
the culture, church and medical practice in Peru .
Pray for an effective ministry in nursing at the New Life Prenatal Center and
in the music ministry at church.
- Pray
that Dave and I can get all the material that Rodney
(my brother, Dr. Rodney Decker from BBS) and Linda sent
to us for their conferences translated in time. They
arrive on Sep 27. Rodney will be teaching a seminary
module on the History of the Spanish Bible and doing
a pastor's conference at church. Linda will be teaching
our ladies quilting. I think I might find it easier to
translate for Rodney than for Linda! Quilting is out
of my field! But I'll give it a try. The ladies are certainly
looking forward to it.
- Pray
for a good start for the new Victorious Life Prenatal
Center in
three weeks – and safety every time I go there! Don't
be worried – I am physically safe, but my computer
and projector are not!
- Strength
and wisdom for Dave as he handles the administration
at seminary and church.
- That
Christina can come home for Christmas. She's a junior
at BBC.
- For
Lisa to find a job in Vancouver .
That's where they moved after the wedding. Matthew
is in graduate school at Regent Seminary.
- For
Jon and Angela to get to 85% support by November so
they can go to field prep seminar, and 100% by the
first of the year. We need them here now! They
are now at 67% . Please
make this request a priority for prayer and action – it
is very important to us.
- For
Dave's folks, Bruce and Vivian Stone – after Lisa's
wedding in July, Dave helped them move into an assisted
living facility near Hinsdale , NY .
