Easter Events

Dear Prayer Partners,

This weekend millions of our brothers and sisters around the world will celebrate Christ's resurrection. Millions of lost people will do something unusual - they will step into a church! Many of your churches are planning special events to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to share the life of Christ. We would ask you to pray with us for God to work in several outreach opportunities.

Three new churches.

We have shared with you how God has provided for two church plants in Peru. God provided $1000 for the Llanavilla church building and over $3000 for Manchay. This week they are putting that money to work.

The Llanavilla believers are putting up a roof and pouring a floor this week so they will be able to hold an Easter service in their new building on Sunday. (click on any image to see a larger version)

Our church in La Capilla/Las Viñas has started a daughter church in Manchay . They are putting a roof on the second story of one of the believers' houses to create a temporary auditorium. They are also buying benches and a pulpit. They will have their first service in the new facility this Sunday.

Right here in Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania, a new church is celebrating their "grand opening" with an Easter celebration service. I created a website for the Living Hope Baptist church and will be shooting video of their Easter service. They have mailed thousands of post cards, made thousands of calls, and distributed flyers to thousands of homes. I will be joining them to pass out brochures on Saturday. Please pray for a good number of visitors on Sunday. Pray that many will hear the Gospel and discover the life changing hope of Easter. (click on the logo to visit their website)

Last week we enjoyed the opportunity to visit some friends from our church in Peru. Juan Polo and his family are living in Washington, D.C. for 1-2 years. We visited their Spanish speaking church for prayer meeting. It was great to visit with them and to dust off our Spanish! We're looking forward to language school!
