"Living Hope has a new home."
Dear Praying Family,
Living Hope
Baptist Church began in a living room. At our Christmas
service 70 people crowded in. Since
then we have struggled to fit a growing ministry into
a very small space. Praise God, in the last couple
of weeks He has provided a new location for our church
services. We found out rather suddenly that we would
have to leave the home we had been meeting in. (The
family had to move out of most of the house themselves.)
But God provided! This Sunday, February 18, will be
our first service at a small private school. The owner
of the school is a believer. She has asked us to help
her reach the unsaved students and families from the
school! She agreed to give us access to the entire
building on Sundays and at other times when needed.
We built a canvas roof over the back patio of the school
and created an auditorium that will seat about 200
people. Praise the Lord for this wonderful blessing!
We now have room for Sunday school classes, discipleship
and baptism classes,
and a nursery!
Speaking
of baptism, this Sunday is also our first baptism!
Pray that it would be a powerful testimony.
We expect many first time visitors.
The
electricians finished installing the lights
and outlets just in time to set up tables for
a Valentines' banquet this evening. We had
several new unsaved couples visit us! God is
already using the new place He provided. |

prayer meeting in our new autidorium (no lights
yet).

We are thrilled
at the opportunities this new facility will give
us to reach our community. At the same time
there are significant expenses. God has already provided
generous gifts of $1,500. The church itself had saved
another $1,000. Since things have moved so fast, it
has taken us some time to recognize the actual cost
of the project. It will take nearly $8,500 to complete
the new facility (see a breakdown below). We are lacking
about $5,500. Please pray that God would meet the need.
We know He provides!
Our
Family
Baby
Alison is 2 months old! We sure are enjoying
our new life as parents. She is smiling, giggling
and trying to roll over. You can see some pictures
on www.alisonstone.shutterfly.com.
Thank you once again to everyone who has
sent cards and gifts. Thank you for sharing
our
joy!
Please
pray for:
- Follow up with all our contacts.
- Many visitors at our fist service and their
salvation.
- Funds for the moving/building project.
- Seminary classes starting next month.
- Our little family. |
