A Growing Family (again)

Starting out in Peru

Dear Praying Family,

I’m taking a break during our November mobile clinic to tell you about the one in October. A group of 8 ladies from First Baptist in Johnson City, NY joined us for a mobile clinic on the outskirts of Lima, in an area called Huaycán. They had a great time handing out stickers and wordless book bracelets. Two of the ladies are nurses, so they helped us with blood pressures, etc. This was a very poor area of the city, and any medical care is hard to come by. We had several Peruvian dentists with us as well as a couple of American medical missionaries.

We provided medical and dental care to 220 people and 30 people received eternal life! Please pray for the Peruvian missionary couple who are starting a church there in their home. Willy and Alicia are wonderful servants of God and they now have a whole lot of contacts for evangelism and discipleship. Pray also for those who began a new life in Christ.

The ladies from Johnson City enjoyed a truly life-changing experience. They were a blessing to us and touched the lives of many Peruvians. Please do consider coming with a group from your own church. We just can’t share the full experience of ministry here through pictures alone!

Now, a few weeks later, we are holding a mobile clinic in another part of Lima. Once again several Peruvian dentists are providing free care so we can share the love of Christ and help a local church minister to its community.

Last month we asked you to pray specifically for the salvation of 3 people. Last week, Juan accepted the Lord! Praise God! His wife is a long time believer. Please continue to pray for Max and María Luisa. Also please pray for an unsaved man with whom I am studying the Bible.

Please pray for the organization of the church and our first baptism.

Just a month and a half till the due date! Baby’s room is almost ready.

As always, we are grateful for your prayers and support.

In Him,
Jonathan & Angela Stone
