Ordination Council Report

Praise the Lord! On Saturday, October 23, the ordination council voted unanimously to recommend me for ordination. The ordination service will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, October 24. You are all invited! :-)

Pre-Field Puzzle Nearly Complete

As we shared with you in our last letter, the pieces are coming together as God provides financial support for our ministry. God supplied another 3% in the last two weeks! We now lack just $500 to qualify for the biannual field preparation seminar with our mission. This week we learned the registration deadline is October 27, not November 10 as we originally anticipated. There is a possibility we may be accepted if we come close to the required level of support commitments. Please pray that God provides sufficient support in the next week! If we make it to the November seminar we will be on track to raise the remaining $600 we need for full support and leave for language school in January. We are eager to arrive on the field as soon as possible.
A January departure will better coincide with our future coworkers' (my
parents) furlough and the academic year in Latin America.

Another option for giving: Your church could raise a sum of money, set it aside, and draw our monthly support from that account for the next 5 years. You could consider making a similar investment when we return to report on our ministry.

$1200 - provides $20 per month for five years.
$3000 - $50 per month.
$6000 - $100 per month.

Please pray that God would provide according to His plan in His perfect time.
